Image at the Jewish Community Center of West Hempstead, is truly a unique and personal initiative, primarily because of the very special leadership and testimony of the congregation's Survivors. In addition to the dedication of the Survivors, the religious and lay leadership, as well as the entire congregation, are deeply committed to Holocaust Education.

ImageThe JCC-WH continually evolves and strengthens its commitment to education and memorialization of the Shoah. The Shoah or Holocaust, refers to the systematic restrictions, isolation, imprisonment, forced labor, torture and murder of the Jews of Europe in the time of the second World War, perpetrated by the Nazi's and their collaborators.
